Sometimes you just have to be…..
especially with a point-and-click camera in the bush…
without those super duper long fancy lenses…….
you have to sneak…….
to get close to your subject
without it fleeing……….
or biting you

Great photos Jackie – especially with a point and shoot. What are they??
The snake is a green spotted bush snake and the bird is an African Hoopoe.
We heard Hoopoe on our trip, but never managed to catch a look. Nicely done!
We have quite a few different types – the noisy ones look quite different to these.
Solid captures!
Wonderful photos! I love the colour of the snakes.
I wonder how close you must have been to that snake to capture these brilliant pics!
I had my nose in the tree
Hehe.. Careful enough I guess..
Awesome.
I am so happy to have found this site. Thank you for visiting mine, and for sharing these very beautiful photos. These are places and animals I would never see otherwise.
Oh thank you for returning my visit – I love your paintings!
that is making my day!
Incredible photos, Jackie!
Hugs,
Kathy
Fantastic!! I was wondering what to expect when I opened the email. That snake is stunning!
Great shots! As a friend of mine says, it’s not the camera
Great photos! I agree with you – it’s not always about the camera. I also take a lot of my photos with a small compact. They do especially well on close-ups.
The Spotted bush snake will make a beautiful water colour – try it.
Great photos Jackie- especially of the Spotted Bush Snake – fortunate that they are harmless to humans – and so pretty!
Lovely photos; especially the turquoise green on the spotted bush snake. Any other snake photos, they are so exotic to someone in the UK!
I have a few but none so pretty as this one sweff. I will look up the links and let you know
Thanks so much:)
great pics! well done!!
