hehe – was so proud of myself. If you told me a few years back that I would touch spiders I would have said never in a million years. The more I learn about them the less they scare me – ‘Spose that goes for just about anything really.
I appreciate some spiders, especially the big web builders, but I don’t want to be anywhere near them. Seriously creeped out by the thought of them being close to or especially ON me. So long as they respect that, I will leave them alone. Come near me and all bets are off.
You should be proud, that is something SOO many people would never do.
I jumped out of my skin the first time I saw a big tarantula here, about the size of my palm. Then we caught several to take to my husband’s school for the kids to see, and I realized that they are gentle, not dangerous.
oh my god. i just about fell out of my chair. yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
i mean… way to go you! :passes out:

Congratulations! Well done:-) I can only manage this with small spiders as yet.

Good grief… did anyone ask the spider if he was scared?

I applaud your courage, but I’m with Barnyard Bookworm…if the spiders respect my boundaries, I’ll respect theirs. [shiver]
