It was just a short while ago that this little thing
was sitting on my lap learning to steer the car in an empty parking lot. It’s so clear in my mind. She was complaining about the big pigeons (seagulls) that kept landing in front of the very slow-moving car.
Yesterday we were in the car again and I glanced over at her…..
My word! What happened???
It feels as if only a moment in time has passed.
It’s very hard for me to believe also that this fine young man
is about to become a dad early next year. (!!!)

Yes indeed the way time speeds by is scary sometimes – it seems like only yesterday that my two little grubs were wallowing in mud pools and eating creepy-crawlies …
… it’s a good thing we have pictures to jog our memories …

Happy Spring! We are entering autumn unseasonably early this year. Why does it seem you were just posting about winter. Our winter is so so SO long and your’s so short. Anyway, just the other day I was looking at my children (only 8 and 6) and feeling the same pangs – where does time go?

Yeah Our winter weather really only lasts for a month or two and even then it is usually really mild, although this winter it was nippier than usual but still nothing to really complain about except our houses here are really not designed for cold weather s it was all about hot water bottles, sleeping in socks and having lots of blankets 🙂

Everyone used to say to her – My word – your eyes are so blue! She thought there was something wrong with her and I only found out when she piped up at the doctor telling him she is sick and has blue eyes! 🙂
